I've lived in houston for most of my life and haven't found a good bun Rieu broth and this is the place!!! Very authentic & flavorful. My server Alejandra was wonderful as well and provided exceptional service. I was skeptical of a good bun Rieu but she was very knowledgeable of the menu and reassured me that it was delish, which it was indeed. Super authentic it's served with a side of mam and chilis for an extra kick of umami flavor. Will be returning again for lunch 10/10 for the service & food. ”

“ I found this place on a whim not knowing what I wanted to eat. This is my new go to Vietnamese restaurant! I didn't know I could have made reservations. We walked in and could tell it was quite the trendy little hidden spot. We waited about 20 min prior to being seated. Everything we ordered was exquisitely delicious. We started with the Carpaccio. It had a tangy spicy flavor with a bit of a crunchy topping. It was large enough for four people even though my party was for two. My husband ordered the Shaken Beef which consisted of tender filet mignon on a bed of mixed greens with a pepper lime dipping sauce. It was so delicious. I was going to order it but considering how late we ate, I opted for the Chicken Goi. It was shredded chicken served on top of shredded cabbage. It too was very delicious and tasty. Both dishes were generous portions. The service was also great. There were several water servers insuring you weren't without. Our waiter Josh was patient with answering our questions and had a great attitude. I believe the manager came to our table to also see how everything was going. She didn't introduce herself I just assumed her title. They offer a variety of drinks including teas. We ordered the ginger turmeric tea. I still can't believe we hadn't been here before. I know we found our new Vietnamese spot. ”

“ I definitely like the modern take on Vietnamese food here at Moon rabbit. Great ambience and friendly service. They have a unique large menu. We got the shaken beef, salt, and pepper squid, cod, and cocktails. The cocktails were very great and very flavorful. The song pepper squid was probably my favorite. Note, lots of spices in all the dishes. The cod was OK, I wish it was catfish instead. The shaken beef was very good, not too chewy. ”

“ We have been here a few times and now finally writing my review. We popped in on Tuesday night to grab a light bite. However, we were unexpectedly surprised with their Tuesday Steak Night special that just rolled out on 11/12. You get to choose a 12 oz ribeye or NY strip and choice of two sides from the steak night menu for $31. There are prices next to the side items on the menu in case you want more than two sides. We had the ribeye with fondant potatoes and chili lemongrass cauliflowers. Steak was well seasoned and topped with a garlic butter and cauliflowers had a kick. Highly recommend that you check this out! Also try the Vietnamese iced coffee will give you any needed caffeine fix. Tuesday night was lively, most likely because of the steak night special. Lots of plants throughout the space and dimly lit with large bar for your alcohol seeking lovers. Service here is always excellent, from front to back. The attached parking lot is small but there is additional parking lot across the street in the lot with signage. ”

They had a great cocktail menu with a few non alcoholic options. The restaurant was very cute and clean. It's nice to see a family owned restaurant that doesn't use the bathroom for extra storage. ”

“ We went here for Sunday lunch and were seated quickly and got the shaken beef, vietnamese cold cut banh mi and the carpaccio! I HIGHLY recommend the banh mi and shaken beef!! But NOT the carpaccio unfortunately. the banh mi ($8) was a great price and well worth it! The veggies were fresh and the bread was soft and crunchy! I can imagine myself coming back here just for the banh mi to get a quick cheap lunch! The shaken beef ($27) was also amazing! It is on the pricey side but I think it's worth it especially if you're going with someone else as it's big enough for two people! So much flavor in the meat, it was so well seasoned with a nice lemon kick too! The carpaccio ($14) was the only thing I was pretty disappointed in and would NOT reccomend!! Honestly it just didn't taste like much? there was a strong lemon flavor that hits at first in your mouth but after a few seconds it goes away and the beef just tastes really raw, so we really didn't like it. Lastly, the ambience was nice, minimal noise and the restaurant decor is quite pretty inside! ”

“ Visiting Houston Heights area for the first time. What a great area for shopping and food! Moon Rabbit has traditional Vietnamese cuisine with an elevated atmosphere. Our server Hana was fantastic and adorable. We ordered the Bun Bo Hue and Chicken Goi . The Bun Bo Hue came with shrimp paste and lemongrass chili paste on the side to adjust to your taste. Flavor was clean, not too heavy or rich. The chicken goi was a salad with lots of vegetables, tender shredded chicken, and a light, bright dressing. Portions are large enough to do "family style". The restaurant has a bar as well. Nicely decorated with large windows. A good place for date night or dining with friends. ”
